Sessions can take place either via online video calls or on the telephone.

I use Google Meet which is end to end encrypted. As it is browser based it can be used on most devices and operating systems.

online video therapy

In March 2020, when the world was struck by the Coronavirus pandemic, the UK was forced into lockdown. In order to continue to help my psychotherapy clients I began working remotely online using Google Meet. I was surprised at how easily my clients and I transitioned to this way of working. As well as removing the need to travel to and from sessions, it has also enabled me to continue to see clients who have relocated to other parts of the counrty.

There are a couple of practicalities to bear in mind when working in this way. If you are using a handheld device, please ensure that it is placed firmly on a surface so that you do not have to hold it. Make sure you are somewhere private where you cannot be overheard or interrupted. If during the session there are connection problems, I suggest we have one attempt at reconnecting, if that doesn't work, continue the session on the tele phone.
